Veteran's Day Message from Sen. Steve Oelrich

There is no greater sacrifice than that of the person willing to fight and die for his or her country. Yet every day thousands of brave men and women make that choice to risk everything to protect that which is most dear to us, our families and our freedom.

This Veterans’ Day we honor those valiant men and women who have served in wars past, and who are currently serving in our armed forces. We also honor their families who are also making a great sacrifice as their loved ones serve far from home.

As the proud father of a U.S. Marine (my son Ken, pictured here), I say to all veterans and service men and women -- Thank you!
